ChordScout is a free max4live MIDI device for discovering chords progressions. The device contains a table of chords to select from. Each time a chord is selected, the table is repopulated with new suggested chords. The table is sorted so that the most similar chords are in the first column, the next most similar are in the second, etc. The chords can be grouped by root note so that they're easier to find. The device keeps track of all chords played in the history at the bottom, so if you find a good progression you can replay it easily. The device also allows you to quickly modulate to related keys.
